4 important things:
1. Josh and I are engaged!!! YAY!!! Wedding planning here we come!
2. School is going fabulously!
3. Mum is recovering slowly from her cancer treatments
4. I am trying to buy more local food in our area and less traditional grocery stores. As summer comes and farmers markets open, this becomes easier i think. Has anyone been buying locally and have any tips?

We shop at a mix of farmer's markets and grocery stores, but we're especially careful about buying chicken. We like to buy the free range local chicken as opposed to frozen breasts in a bag, although it's kind of tough on a tight budget. But buying local produce is WAY cheaper and tastier! Good luck!

Great tips! you guys are blessed to live in such a fruit bearing location! I bet farmers markets out there have a slightly different fare than here!:) I can hardly wait for the farmers market to get started again!! YAY for summer!!!

Hey congrats to you and Josh!
a great website is localharvest.org
they post farms, farmer's markets, grocery stores and restaurants in your area that are family owned and use natural/organic foods/farming methods.
