In thinking about.....

I'm just a girl, searching for where God wants me next, but living constanly in the present, reflecting on the past enough to see hope for the future.

16th-18th century teaching!

So this week on monday night, i realized grandparents day was on friday and so i was going to have to plan accordingly. The 8th graders were gone this week and so suddenly i had some extra time to move and shift things around. This week i changed my classroom into an art mueseum. I used my currator project from Art history (i can't believe i actually used it!) and i gave my studnets packets to fill out, mini projects to due to explore things, covered my door with a sheet and let them learn on thier own, this is my favourite style of learning. The grandparents of my kindergateners loved it! It was a good day!
but in 7th grade bible i had some students write on the board that they wrote the following sentance exactly "when u sin it is bcuz u r tempted."
i almost died! What is this technology doing to the formation of language and the laziness of the coming generation. I was appalled, and it made me wonder. Well enough about that, but here are some pics of the art museum (and maybe of a beautiful park) -- i borrowed the school camera!
well..i can;t get the pics to work again, surprise surprise, so maybe pics will follow later!:)

Haha! I had a lot of "im" instead of I'm, and "angles" (hello, not math class) instead of angels on my last (high school) choir quiz. And even worse, lots of uncapitalized "god". I came home complaining the same thing. I guess I did say I wasn't grading on spelling. Next time I might.
